God’s Command

Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Exodus 20 v 8

Instructed to Praise

And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the LORD, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the LORD; for his mercy endureth for ever. 2 Chronicles 20 v 21

His throne

God reigneth over the heathen: God sitteth upon the throne of his holines Psalm 47 v 8

Holy Ground

And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground. Exodus 3 v 5

The four beast

And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come . Revelation 4 v 8

Worship the Lord

Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness. Psalm 29 v 2

A highway

And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein. Isaiah 35 v 8

Judah and Israel commit adultery

Judah hath dealt treacherously, and an abomination is committed in Israel and in Jerusalem; for Judah hath profaned the holiness of the LORD which he loved, and hath married the daughter of a strange god. Malachi 2 v 11

Fruit is required

But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. Romans 6 v 22

Perfecting

Perfecting holiness in the fear of God. 2 Corinthians 7 v 1

Called by God

For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness. 1 Thessalonians 4 v 7

The City is Holy

And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. Revelation 22 v 19

Our Spiritual State

He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.

Revelation 22 v 11

The First Resurrection

Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. Revelation 20 v 6

Holy Angels

The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: Revelation 14 v 10

In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life. Luke 1 v 75

The purpose in Chastening?

God’s Chastening is not punitive but remedial

For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our

benifit, that we might be partakers of his holiness Hebrews 12 v 10

The aged women

The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becoming holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; Titus 2 v 3

Who is like unto thee, O LORD, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders? Exodus 15 v 11

Warning

Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

Yield your members

I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness. Romans 6 v 19

Israel was Holiness

Israel was holiness unto the LORD, and the first fruits of his increase: all that devour him shall offend; evil shall come upon them, saith the LORD. Jeremiah 2 v 3 / 2

Aaron the High Priest

And thou shalt make a plate of pure gold, and grave upon it, like the engravings of a signet, HOLINESS TO THE LORD. Exodus 28 v 36

Put on.

And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. Ephesians 4 v 24

Righteousness.

For what saith the Scripture? “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted unto him for righteousness.”

Romans 4 v 3

He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strong in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully persuaded that what He had promised, He was able also to perform. And therefore “it was imputed to him for righteousness.”Now it was not written for his sake alone that it was imputed to him,

but for us also, to whom it shall be imputed if we believe in Him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead, Romans 4 v 19 – 24
