Judas when he betrayed Jesus. Acts 1 v 18

Jesus put the emphasis on the motive rather than the act.

What happened to Annanias and Safiras?

They both died having lied to the Holy Spirit.. Acts 5 v 5-10

What seed are we sowing?

If we sow to the flesh we shall reap corruption. Galatians 6 v 7

Suffering as the work of the devil!!!l

A perfect man has to suffer: Job 1 v 8

God says to Satan. “Have you considered my servant JOB”? Job was a righteous man . Yet God allowed him to suffer

A perfect man

Job prayed but God allowed Satan to touch him to prove Job’s integrity.

The disciple Peter. Jesus told him Satan has desired to sift you …… Luke 22 v 31

Tony Daly: “I find that many times the only way I learn the lessons from God are through suffering”…

Also I find this true:

“that you cannot preach on suffering without first experiencing it”

Acts 9 v 16

Christians are exhorted to prove we are able ministers of God. 2 Corinthians 6 v 14

But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses,

In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in fastings; By pureness, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned,

Example of the Prophets.

Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience. Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy. James 5 v 10/11

Christians

Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:

But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. 1 Peter 4 v 12

Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf. For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God:

and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? 1 Peter 4 v 16

For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake. Philippians 1 v 29

For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe. 1Timothy 4 v 10

And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground. Luke 22 v 44

But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53 v 5

As many were astonished at thee; his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men: Isaiah 42 v 14

And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? Mark 15 v 34

The Rewards

It is a faithful saying if we be dead with him we shall also live with him, if we suffer we shall also reign.
