Conditional promises of God
Some of God’s promises are conditional .
If we fulfil the conditions the Lord adds his blessing
What are the conditions in the following verses of Scripture?
Exodus 15:26 And said, 1/ If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and 2/ wilt do that which is right in his sight, and 3/ wilt give ear to his commandments, and 4/ keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that heals thee…
2 Chronicles 7 v 14 If my people, which are called by my name, 1/ shall humble themselves, and 2/pray, 3/and seek my face, 4/ and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
John 8:31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, 1/ If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
Colossians 1:23 1/ If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, 2/ and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature
John 15 v 14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;
1 John 1 v 7 But 1/ if we walk in the light, as 2/ he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
Two conditions for Joshua
Three Promises of Blessing
Joshua the high priest stood before God and was given a change of clothes. His filthy rags were taken from him. Salvation is a gift of God. Zechariah 3 v 7
Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel.
4 And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment. And I said, Let them set a fair mitre upon his head. So they set a fair mitre upon his head, and clothed him with garments. And the angel of the LORD stood by. And the angel of the LORD protested unto Joshua, saying,
7 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; If thou wilt walk in my ways, and if thou wilt keep my charge, then thou shalt also judge my house, and shalt also keep my courts, and I will give thee places to walk among these that stand by.
