Gifts 1 Corinthians 12 v 28
And God hath set some in the church: first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracle workers, then those with gifts of healing, helpers, administrators, and those with diversity of tongues.
This is not mans methods this is what God has set up in the church.
29 Are all apostles? No. Are all prophets? No. Are all teachers? Are all workers of miracles? No
30 Have all the gifts of healing? No Do all speak with tongues? No Do all interpret? No
31 But covet earnestly the best gifts,
Body Ministry…. When you come together
1 Cor 14 v 26-30 How is it then, brethren? When ye come together every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done for edification.
34 Let your women keep silence in the churches, for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law. And if they will learn anything, let them ask their husbands at home, for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.
Glorify God in your Body
1 Cor 6 v 14-17 What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you and which ye have from God, and that ye are not your own?
20 For ye are bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.
Walk in the Spirit …..Galations 5 v 16 – 25
This I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary the one to the other, so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But if ye are led by the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
Works of the flesh!!
19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, and they are these: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, quarrelling, rivalry, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envying, murders, drunkenness, revelling, and such like. About these things I tell you again, as I have also told you in times past: that those who do such things shall not inherit the Kingdom of God.
Fruit of Spirit
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its affections and lusts.
25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
Reading Exhortation Doctrine; 1 Timothy 4 v 13
What we are urged to do….
Until I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.
14 Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of hands by the presbytery.
15 Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them, that thy profiting may appear to all.
16 Take heed unto thyself and unto the doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself and those who hear thee.
